Canada and the Netherlands a World War 2 Story
This book celebrates the friendship between Canada and the Netherlands, a friendship that began in World War 2. It tells the story of a Dutch princess who was born in Canada during the war, and it tells of the special gift sent to Canada each year from the Netherlands. It honours the Canadian soldiers who fought bravely and who brought hope and food to the Dutch people. Children in both countries will be inspired by this true tale of courage, self-sacrifice and undying gratitude. The book is written in both Dutch and English to commemorate this unique friendship.
